My house centres around my kitchen.. I spend my days studying through my nursing degree and enjoy nothing better than busting out my culinary tools and imagination to whip up something interesting when I get home. Not only for the smile on my food-mad boyfriends face, but for the housewifely glow I feel. Yes I know, their is going to be someone reading this who just pulled a face like they had sooked on a lemon at the thought of me condemning myself to the 1940s wife role, but please hear me out. There is nothing old fashioned about picking up your pinny and your grannies old recipes and making them your own. It’s all about doing something new and getting outside your comfort zone.

I should point out a couple of things before you sign up to my cult.
I am a recovering vegetarian. I was brought up vegetarian and have only recently began eating meat. Therefore, please be aware I will most likely not be cooking any red meat recipes.
Also, I am a gym maniac and so most of my recipes, unless otherwise stated, will be low fat. There may also be the odd gym recipe making an appearance but in the words of Ron Burgundy ” if you like it, you can take it, if you don’t, send it right back”.

So here it is, ladies and gentlemen, my recipes; some invented, some adapted but all healthy and delicious. I hope you enjoy it.
